Bryan-College Station Neighborhood Profile
The City of College Station began with the inauguration of Texas A&M College in 1876. Now one of Texas' largest universities, Texas A&M University was the first public institution of higher education in the state of Texas.
Located in Brazos County, in the heart of Central Texas, the Bryan/College Station area is home to more than 152,000 residents, and is approximately 150 miles from the Texas cities of Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Dallas.
The College Station Independent School District is one of Texas’ top 10 districts and has been named a “Blue Ribbon School District” by Expansion Management Magazine. A&M Consolidated High School was named in Newsweek magazine’s top 100 high schools in America.
